Privacy Policy

REVIEWU ("we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR.

What we collect

• Contact details you submit via our contact form, demo request form, or chat assistant — name, email, phone number, business name, message contents.
• Account data for admin users — email, hashed password, role.
• Usage data from QR scans and review events — short ID, business name, rating, anonymous user-agent, referrer, timestamp. We do not store IP addresses for these events.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

• Consent — when you tick the consent box on a form, we use your details to reply to your enquiry and follow up about REVIEWU.
• Contract — to fulfil orders, deliver hardware, and provide the analytics dashboard.
• Legitimate interest — to keep our service secure, prevent abuse, and improve the product based on aggregated usage stats.

Who we share it with

We use vetted processors to run REVIEWU: a managed cloud database/auth provider (Supabase), our hosting platform, and an AI provider for the in-app chatbot. These processors only handle data on our instructions and under data-processing agreements. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

• Contact and demo enquiries: up to 24 months from last interaction.
• Customer accounts: for the lifetime of the account, deleted on request.
• Aggregated/anonymised analytics: indefinitely.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Cookies & chat assistant

We use a small amount of session storage to keep your chat conversation while you browse. Messages you send to the chatbot are processed by our AI provider to generate a reply and are not used to train models. Lead-capture forms in chat are only sent if you submit them.
